As a Market Research Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of 75-100 Market Research Customers and delivering 5-star customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with assigned accounts by regularly checking in to understand their goals, needs, and challenges.
- Host onboarding sessions and support onboarding/offboarding processes to ensure clients are set up for success and internal teams are aligned.
- Highlight relevant reports and insights weekly to drive client interest and engagement.
- Remind clients of upcoming events and circulate materials and takeaways from past sessions, roundtables, and briefings.
- Join select client calls, meetings, and internal morning meetings as needed to stay connected and informed.
- Manage the full client lifecycle, from onboarding to renewal, proactively addressing client needs and potential risks.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, collaborating with Business Development Managers and Analysts to maximize client value.
- Use analytics tools to identify gaps in report readership, event participation, and service usage, and act on insights to improve engagement.
- Track contract terms, renewal dates, and payment status, working to secure renewals and mitigate risks to retention.
- Coordinate internal resources (e.g., marketing, research, operations) to deliver client requests, projects, and services accurately and on time.
- Troubleshoot and resolve client issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction and trust.
- Maintain accurate and detailed CRM records, ensuring up-to-date client data, contract terms, and activity logs.
- Provide regular status reports, updates, and performance metrics to clients and internal stakeholders.
Position Requirements:
- A graduate, undergraduate business degree
- 2-4 years experience within an account manager role preferred
- Ability to think outside of the box
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and interest in learning the industry
- Strong computer skills
- Attention to detail
- This position requires a full-time, on-site presence at our downtown Cleveland office in order to effectively work with teams.
